Frequently Asked Questions
Common Questions
Common questions regarding my process, travel, and licensing for commercial and residential projects.
Booking & Process
-
I typically book projects 4–6 weeks in advance. For commercial projects with strict press or handover deadlines, please reach out as early as possible so we can secure your preferred dates.
-
You will receive proofs for selection within 3 business days of the shoot. Once you make your final selection, the finished high-resolution gallery is delivered within 15 business days (3 weeks).
-
I bring an editorial eye to every shoot and assist with on-set micro-styling—adjusting pillows, arranging surfaces, and balancing the composition.
For large-scale projects requiring full furniture sourcing and propping, I recommend engaging a dedicated Interior Stylist. I work regularly with some of the Sunshine Coast’s best and am happy to provide referrals.
-
Yes. My commercial interior photography approach balances wide architectural angles with detailed vignettes to showcase materials, joinery, and build quality.
-
Yes. Aerial photography is an excellent way to provide context for a home or commercial building. It can be added to any package.
-
Natural light is central to my work. For interiors, cloudy days often provide beautiful, soft diffusion. However, for architectural and exterior photography, we will monitor the forecast and reschedule if heavy rain or poor lighting will compromise the final result.
-
You are welcome to be on site, but it is not required. Many clients trust me to work independently once the brief and access details are confirmed. If you can’t be there, I am happy to send progress shots via text for peace of mind.
-
Yes, it is highly advisable. The camera captures dust and smudges that the naked eye might miss. A professional “bond style” clean ensures we spend our time styling and shooting, rather than wiping surfaces.
-
Absolutely. A collaborative brief is the best way to ensure we capture exactly what you need. Before the shoot, we will discuss your "must-have" angles and the key features you want to highlight.
Location & Travel
-
Yes. While I am based on the Sunshine Coast (Coolum Beach), I regularly service Brisbane, Noosa, and the Gold Coast.
Sunshine Coast: Standard rates apply.
Brisbane & Surrounds: A simple travel fee is added to cover time and logistics.
-
Yes. I work with boutique accommodation owners to create imagery that invites and transports. These sessions focus heavily on atmosphere—capturing the feeling of the stay to help guests imagine themselves there.
Commercial & Architectural Licensing, Usage Rights
-
My rates include a Standard Non-Exclusive License. This covers you for all your marketing needs: website, social media, and print collateral. If you need to share the images with third parties (like builders or suppliers), please ask about my Cost-Sharing options.
-
The standard license covers usage for one business (the client who booked the shoot). However, I offer a Cost-Sharing License which allows multiple parties (e.g., the Architect, Builder, and Joiner) to split the photoshoot costs. This is often the most cost-effective way to secure high-end architectural photography for everyone involved.
